WSV – Cracking Start to 2019
Following the matches on the 9th January, the biggest smiles came from Taborite Tornado. They battled to their first win of the season, in what was an extremely enjoyable match with Service Returns. Taborite Tornado were a few, key players lighter, making the victory even more sweet. The latter now sit just two points above TaboriteTornado in the table.
Hot Digs were 2-1 victors vs Spike & Pillage; after an extremely intense opening set, Mat Palmer went on an extended service run in the second, securing the victory.
TeBeCe dominated their second set vs Taborite Tempest, yet fell short in the first and third set – losing 1-2 overall. This was a great achievement for Taborite Tempest as they fielded the lowest average age of a division one team this season.
In Division 3, the Wallyballers were pinned back and only lead Dig That by a single point. Their sets and points difference is far superior, but they need to return to winning ways after a below par start to 2019. Only four points separate top from third, making the race for top spot ever more exciting. Taborite Typhoon currently sit third but will be looking to move up in their next match. Wrong Direction remain at the foot of the table but continue to play with enthusiasm and enjoyment throughout their matches.
