WSV – 13 Matches Done…

Thirteen matches played by all teams and a few key talking points!

In Division 1/2, Hot Digs were missing a few key players yet managed to come out 2 – 1 victors over TeBeCe, who took the first set. Strong serving from Phillip and hard hitting from Ben was not enough to stop Hot Digs. Taborites Tempest proved too strong as they left 3 – 0 victors over Service Returns, who face league leaders next week with a sizeable handicap – giving them something to fight for! Helen will certainly be looking to carry the consistency she showed this week into next. Elsewhere Spike & Pillage battled to a 2 – 1 victory against Taborites Tornado, who are struggling to get off the foot of the table but will be fuelled with the return of team captain, Ron, next week. They play Taborite Tempest next week.

In Division 3, Wallyballers (who have led the league for so long) have been knocked off top spot by Dig That. Taborite Typhoon fought hard to beat the former leaders, clearing the pathway for Dig That to claim top, by beating the current bottom side, Wrong Direction. They obliged and now sit a single point ahead. Next week, Dig That face Wallyballers, which has a league-title-decider feel to it. Both sets of players will be well up for this one. Not one to miss!
