WSV – End of Another Successful Season – Weymouth Social Volleyball

Last Wednesday, the ten teams of the Weymouth Social Volleyball league met at Weymouth Outdoor Education Centre to celebrate a year that has accommodated growth, development and new teams in the league. Food was provided by our sponsors, Codfathers, to be enjoyed during the evening.

The evening included awards for the winning teams and there were plenty of prizes on offer which were awarded as follows:

Division 3 winners: Wallyballers
Division 2 winners: Hot Digs
Division 1 winners: Tempest
Open Tournament winners: Tornado

Then we moved onto the Most Valued Player (MVP) awards. These prestigious trophies were awarded based on the referees’ nominations throughout the duration of the season.

Division 3 – Whitney Bussell, that rose above the competition to catch the eyes of the referees
Division 2 – Ben Mills, who was away in Rome for the presentation
Division 1 – Jo Coates, was an asset to the league and battled hard to ensure Tornados remain in division 1 next season
